All products sold by Shop for the Birds! are billed in South African Rands (ZAR) and are inclusive of VAT.
No goods will be despatched without proof of payment.
Please allow 5 -10 days to receive your order via a local South African courier company or through PostNet. This is for all orders within South Africa only.
Any international requests for items will be managed separately with courier fees and insurance quoted accordingly. Processing and delivery times are subject to the courier company used.
Once your proof of payment has been received and subject to agreement, your items may be collected from our physical shop situated at BirdLife South Africa premises in Gauteng. (A pick-up time and date will be confirmed.)
Fee for shipping
Shop for the Birds! charge the shipping fees as quoted by PostNet or the applicable Courier company for orders of 5kg and less.
Anything above 5kg will require an individual quote and the difference will be charged to the customer. We will reply to your order request with the exact quote received from the courier company whose services we make use of.
Delivery issues & incorrect shipping addresses
Shop for the Birds! cannot be held responsible for delivery issues due to the incorrect address provided.
If you experience a problem with the delivery of your package, we recommend contacting the courier directly to get it resolved. You can also contact us with your order number and the issue in hand, for additional recommendations from us on how to recover your shipment.
Returns & exchanges
The provision of goods and services by Shop for the Birds! is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, Shop for the Birds! will refund the customer in full within 30 days.
Products may not be returned unless the product is damaged or faulty. Valid returns will be accepted on the condition that the customer notifies and returns the product/s within seven days of receipt. In such an instance, Shop for the Birds! will make a reasonable effort to exchange the product upon receipt of the returned products. If, however, a replacement is not possible, Shop for the Birds! will refund the purchase price including delivery cost upon receipt of the returned products.
The purchaser will be liable and will be charged for all order errors and additional expenses as a result of any incorrect requirements, omitting details, supplying incorrect details.
We value your feedback and will try our best to respond timeously. In addition, for any ideas on items to stock, we will happily converse with you. However, we cannot guarantee that any particular products suggested will be sold from either our physical shop or from our online store.
