The Flufftail Festival is an annual event brought to you through a partnership between BirdLife South Africa, Rand Water’s Water Wise Team and Johannesburg City Parks & Zoo, kindly sponsored by Toyota South Africa Motors and the Pick n Pay School Club.

The festival is named after the elusive wetland bird, the White-winged Flufftail, which is Critically Endangered and only found in pristine, high-altitude wetlands in South Africa and Ethiopia.

This interactive activity book is designed around the Grade 6 curriculum linked to water, wetlands and waterbird conservation but can be accessed by all preparatory school learners wanting to know more about the importance of water and the biodiversity that wetlands support.
