THRIVE is a hands-on, science-grounded tabletop strategy game for all ages, in which players build physically stacked trophic pyramids using 59 custom cubes, each one representing a real species from the Southern African grassland and bushveld ecosystem. Learning happens naturally through play. Every cube face tells a story: three faces show life cycle stages or habits, one face reveals habitat and taxonomy, the bottom face shows what the creature eats, and the top face shows what eats it. Everything is colour coded, so players of any age quickly discover how food chains connect simply by matching colours. Young children absorb the concepts visually and intuitively, while older players and adults engage with the deeper ecological strategy beneath.
